A workspace for local models and coding agents
WHAT'S NEW IN 0.2.4
- GPU shader backdrops: 21 animated shaders (Plasma Silk, Liquid Chrome, Lava Flow, Caustics, Nebula and more) behind the whole app, in their own colours or yours. They pause while models are working, so your GPU stays free.
- 5 new palettes: Carbon Neon, Deep Sea, Safelight, Desert Night and Greenhouse.
- Library: chat with your own documents (PDFs, Word, text). AgentForge indexes them on your Mac and answers with citations; agents can search them too.
- Galleries: ASCII Studio effects, Sprite Lab, Flow templates and Skills now open in a browsable gallery with categories, search (press /), pins, random pick and live previews.
- New visuals: Pulsar Ridges, LED Rack and Letter Bars in the Visualizer; Falling Sand and Campfire in ASCII Studio and as backdrops; a TRIP tab with 8 full-colour psychedelic modes.
- Agents are more reliable on local models: longer step timeouts with an automatic retry, thinking off by default (with a Deep thinking toggle), and a CONTINUE button that picks up a stopped run where it left off.
- Live dashboards: agent runs with progress, a filterable activity log, sparkline tiles on Mission Control and a status board on Performance.
- Clearer messages: one Ollama offline banner with Retry instead of pop-ups, a setup checklist, and confirmations that name exactly what you're deleting.
- Fix: with the boot screen turned off, AgentForge now connects to Ollama at launch.
Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Local chat needs Ollama running. Installed copies update themselves.
